Solu-Series and Staple Fiber
21st century solubility.
RzW’s Solu-series water-soluble Products are engineered to serve multiple purposes in the textile industry. Our products help serve as temporary structural elements—creating sacrificial embroidery bases for elaborate lace patterns or providing water soluble support frameworks for delicate yarns including cotton, wool, and silk.
The Gold Standard for Water Soluble PVA Products
Engineered solubility. While our Solu-Series products behave like any conventional fiber during processing and handling, its true marvel is revealed in water. Our fibers are designed to dissolve completely and consistently at set temperatures. This means they activate exactly as intended when they reach their specified temperature threshold.
Key Features
- Engineered Water Solubility
- Eco-Friendly
- Processing Compatability
- Soft Tactiility
- Versatile Forms
- Easily Customizable
"Advanced, yet Environmentally Friendly."
Due to the inherent nature of PVA, our fibers are environmentally friendly. Once dissolved, they form a non-toxic solution – ensuring that the discharge will not harm people or the environment. Beyond their functional benefits, our fibers impart a soft, tactile feeling, which introduces a sense of fluff or loft when blended with other fibers.
Potential Applications
- Zero-Twist Towels: Enables the production of plush, highly absorbent towels by providing a removable, structural support that creates hollowness and extra softness.
- High Count Yarns or Fabrics: Helps with the manufacture of fine, densely constructed yarns and fabrics by supporting delicate fibers during spinning and weaving, dissolving away afterwards.
- Tactile Fabrics: Adds a soft, fluffy hand-feel to finished textiles, thanks to the loft and hollowness created once the fibers are washed out.
- Lace and Embroidery Backing: Acts as a temporary, fully water-soluble stabilizer for intricate lace and embroidery work, making removal simple and residue-free.
